It seems like yesterday that Jennifer was writing about our MRSA and our settling in here in the BIG city of Griffin. Now it is March and eight months have FLOWN by! We have purchased a home and have really begun to make Griffin home. When we moved back home (to Ga) we had no idea how much we would really enjoy that. We are within 2 hours of ALL of our family and that is AWESOME! We have seen moms and dads, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews more in the eight months since being home than we did in all the previous three years. So God has been good to us in that aspect. He has been good to us in so many aspects but we will have to 'blog' about that later.
Tonight as I sit here typing away on our magnificent Macbook, I am reminded at just how amazing our God is. I have a tremendously hot wife, two great dogs, and plenty of food to eat. How much better can life get? I just finished working on our student website which hopefully one day will be completed, but for now, it is a work in progress.
I also just finished watching some balogne on Fox News about our economy and it makes me wonder just how much longer this mess is going to last. They were also talking about global warming which just makes me laugh. It snowed here in Griffin about 4 inches a few weeks ago. I love global warming???? If global warming keeps getting worse, we are going to have to invest in some real snow clothes! HAHA! What a joke? I often wonder if those people have real jobs or do they just make up jobs for people who are lacking real creditials to do real jobs. Anyway!!
We are home in Georgia and we love it. Our God is big and he loves us SSSOOO much. We are learning that more and more everyday as we serve him here in Griffin! Our students are awesome and we love serving them and teaching them about God's Word.

Our First Days in Griffin - MRSA and all
Well, this post is inspired by our good friend Meredith. I was telling her about this one day and she told me that I should blog about this. I wanted to include pictures, but in the craziness of life I forgot to take pictures and now it is too late.
As many of you know, Todd is a little accident prone and often spends quite a bit of time at the doctor's office or ER (often with kidney stones). On the day the we moved to Griffin, we made our grand entrance by going to the doctor. Todd had an area on his chest that had started as a pimple and then escalated growing in size and getting hard. Turns out that he had community acquired MRSA and had to have the sore/abcess lanced and drained. It had to be packed and was quite painful. Then, within another day or 2 I ended up with a very similar spot on my thigh, which a few days later also had to be lanced, drained and packed. So, as we started here Todd had a hole in his chest and I had one in my leg. It actually became quite the joke here as we were "unclean" with our infectious disease. Our pastor actually felt the need to bathe in Germ-X while riding in our car with us. And only to make it worse, one of our friends (who he and his wife graciously let us stay at their house while we were waiting on our furniture to arrive) has now gotten MRSA. At any rate, we are much better now and almost completely healed.
Other than our "uncleanliness", things have been going very well. We have both been very busy getting started with our jobs and getting settled in. Jennifer's job is going well after 2 weeks. Things are also going well at church . . . we're having a great time getting to know students and members of the church. We are very glad to be back in Georgia . . .close to family and friends.
The Lord continues to bless us and show us His grace daily. We look forward to many things to come!!

8 Months Later and Ready to Move
Well, I knew that I wouldn't be the best blogger . . . that I would be a slacker. But I'll try again. Todd and I (and Dalton and Lucy even though they don't know it yet) are SOOO very excited to be moving back to Georgia. God has blessed us as Todd has a new position as the youth pastor at Second Baptist Griffin. We are excited about the opportunity that the Lord has put before us and feel so blessed to a part of it. We are still amazed at how only a month ago we knew very little of this and had no idea that we would be moving so quickly. But also amazed at how the Lord has worked out so many details . . . only He could have made it all work together so perfectly. We have had the opportunity to meet all of the staff and many of the youth there and they seem to be an amazing group of people that we look forward to getting to know better.
So right now we are trying to pack our house and praying that it sells quickly. We will be living in an apartment in Griffin until it sells. We will be moving down officially next week!!

We Finally Created a Blog
So, we have finally caved in a created a blog for ourselves. Now, what will be the test is to see if we can manage to keep it updated. Both procrastinators by nature, staying on top of this could be a challenge. We love seeing pictures of all our friends that we seldom see, and will try to show you some of us . .. . but you must know that we are both also quite forgetful and seem to frequently forget our camera - ha!! We will update soon!!
